Beginnings are both exciting and scary. Exciting because there are new, unexplored possibilities. Scary because there are new, unexplored possibilities. We become comfortable with routine and the known. Sometimes so much so, that we become complacent, bored, and asleep or immune to new, unexplored possibilities in every moment.
As I move through my final semester of course work in my PhD program, I will chronicle the rest of my journey. Everyone transforms as part of their PhD journey. This is certainly true for me. Partly because of the program and partly because of life.
Taking my first MEAL (Mindful Eating And Living) course gave me the ‘space’ and confidence I needed to start my PhD. I will be talking it again, now in my final semester of course work.
Everything old is new again. Moving through the MEAL course I will try to do so with an open mind to deepen my experience, understanding, and practice. WIth this new beginning I can safely say, I’m excited. I have no fear.
